The brief was to make an attic-storey apartment feel like ordinary living space, not a compromise under a sloped roof. Every room works with the pitch instead of around it: the living room's dormer window sits directly behind the sofa, and a desk in the smaller bedroom tucks under the lowest part of the ceiling.
One material language runs through the apartment: light oak joinery, a sage-green tiled kitchen, and warm marble-look tile in the bathroom, so the rooms read as a single home rather than a sequence of separately decorated ones. A walk-in closet, wardrobes built floor-to-ceiling either side of a window, holds the storage the bedrooms don't have to.
